FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

💡 WHERE DO WE START?

EVERY PROJECT BEGINS WITH AN IDEA. SOME PEOPLE ALREADY HAVE A SPECIFIC VISION, WHILE OTHERS MAY NEED HELP WITH CONCEPTUALIZATION.

The good thing is we never charge for brainstorming, so if you have a big idea, there’s no reason not to give us a call. After we talk, you’ll get a quote in writing - we bill for the amount you approve at the beginning, not the hours we work. That means no surprises on the invoice. If you like what you see, you sign the contract, then we move into the pre-production phase.

📝 WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS?

WE FOLLOW THE INDUSTRY STANDARD 3-STEP PROCESS: PRE-PRODUCTION, PRODUCTION AND POST-PRODUCTION.

1.) Pre-Production is when we fully conceptualize the video. Any script writing and story boarding, as well as logistics and scheduling, is taken care of during this time. We’ll keep you in the loop during pre-production to ensure you are on board with our plans, and that you’re going to get exactly what you want out of your project.

2.) Production is when we actually press the record button. This phase usually lasts a day or two, and can be on location or in a studio. It’s a very exciting time, but it’s crucial to get it right. All the meticulous planning done in the pre-production phase helps the day on set run smoothly.

3.) Post-Production is when we put the puzzle pieces together. It’s the longest phase of the process, in part because of how much can be done: Shot selection, editing, addition of music, color grading, motion graphics, sound design, you name it. During this time you will be sent drafts until we reach a version that either meets, or preferably exceeds, your expectations.

In some instances after the video(s) are delivered, that’s the end of the process. But when it comes to creating social media content, some people need additional assistance: Do you need thumbnails and/or written copy? Help defining a target audience? Did you know there are certain times of day that are better for publishing video content? We can help with all of that and more.

🎥 WHAT DOES IMMAGINAMEAN?

In 1914, with nothing more than a vision of a new life and $30 to his name, 17-year-old Luca Milano boarded the S.S. Adriatic and began the journey to America from a small village in southern Italy.

En route, the ship was stopped at the Strait of Gibraltar where he had to spend most or all of what was left in his pocket to continue. While Luca may have been penniless when he made it to Ellis Island, he put down his roots and the Milano family story began.

MORE THAN A CENTURY LATER, LUCA’S GREAT-GRANDSON LUKE FOUNDED IMMAGINA MEDIA.

The English translation of the Italian “Immagina” (pronounced ee-MA-gee-nuh, hear it below) is “You Imagine,” and pays homage to the founder’s roots, while also highlighting a critical facet of creative work: Imagination.
